Whilst some businesses get busier as the Festive Season approaches, some are already beginning to wind down. But our clients will receive the same high level of service all year round, so we've written our own version of The Twelve Days of Christmas to illustrate our point ...
which of our services would give you the greatest gifts of all?
Please don't take the numbers literally! It was designed to give you a snapshot of the services we offer to our clients, and encourage you to consider which of them would give you the greatest gifts of all - time and freedom!
12 voicemail messages - we have a wide range of "out of hour's" options we can offer you from a simple "we are closed" message to a full scale service sending them out as they come in.
11 emailed queries - some clients send us their online queries so we can follow them up. Others reply to our emailed messages asking us to call their customers with the answers.
10 phone lines ringing - Telephone Answering/Message Taking is just one service we offer. We also offer virtual PA services from Audio/Copy typing, book keeping, credit control, event management and data compiling.
9 questions answered - give us the relevant information and we will answer your FAQ's for you. We believe in Call Handling so you don't have to deal with the basic questions like directions to the office, your opening hours or which products/services you offer.
8 messages taken - for each call we take on your behalf we will send you the details by text, email or even call them through. We will take as much detail as you would like and your customers will give us.
7 estimates booked - if we have access to your diary we can fill it for you. We book everything from meetings with solicitors, to treatments with aesthetic nurses.
6 Genies answering - we have fully qualified and experienced Receptionist/PA's, each with their own areas of expertise.
5 Sales Calls - we will handle these for you if you don't wish to be bothered, we are adept at spotting them and persuading them not to call again.
4 Swirly Chairs - The joy of outsourcing is you don't have to buy the equipment!! You will be pleased to know we do actually have a swirly chair per Genie, and a desk and a PC and a phone!
3 Gel Pens - these are useful for us when proofing your letters and quotes. As you can imagine my favourite colours are Genie Pink and Genie Purple (our company colours), but between us we use the whole of the rainbow!
2 Headsets - we use different headsets depending on whether we are answering the phone or doing audio typing. It's important to use the right tools for the job!
And a Jacqui in Genie Towers - well somebody needs to co-ordinate everything and take control!
So altogether now ...
On the twelfth day of Christmas our Genies send to you ... 12 voicemail messages, 11 emailed queries, 10 phone lines ringing, 9 questions answered, 8 messages taken, 7 estimates booked, 6 genies answering ... five sales calls! 4 swirly chairs, 3 gel pens, 2 headsets ... and a Jacqui in Genie Towers!

When I started with The Office Genie it was to provide me with a part time income to support my writing. Over time though I have developed into the Marketing Genie on a full time basis. I love it, I get to play with words all day as I try to share the dream and the passion that Jacqui has turned into The Office Genie. My work involves blogging, letter writing, email writing, web copy writing, e-book writing, campaign planning, strategy planning, social media interactions – it’s like I write and talk all day every day, my parent would say it’s the ideal job for me!
My first blog posts were about my day to day life as a Genie but they are growing into sharing my view of the business world.
